The Roatan Weather Forecast
as presented by

http://www.roatan.com/
 CoCoView is located
at
16.3°N Latitude x 86.5°W Longitude
in the
NW Caribbean Sea
and
                                                          M-F at 7:15am, 8:15am and 9:15am

 For Sunday Oct. 24, 2010

At 6am LT, this morning, the center of Tropical Storm Richard was located about
30 miles due east of us. Maximum sustained winds are 70 mph. The minimum
pressure was 995 millibars. It is moving west at 10 mph. At this speed, the center
of Richard will pass over CoCoView and about 10 miles to the north of us, around
10am LT. This will coincide and reinforce the morning high tide which will occur
about 9:30am LT. There still is no clearly defined eye on the satellite imagery.
Apparently, close proximity to land and dry air to the NW continues to inhibit
further development of Richard.

We will be in the storm field most of Sunday. Winds and seas will gradually
decrease with the storm’s passage.
All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras
should be continuously monitoring this storm system; as TS Richard with winds
of 38 to 73mph or higher passes over us.

The air temperatures will be in the high 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).

At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 85F or 27C to 29C. Surface temperatures are lower and vary greatly due to the heavy rainfall which occurred recently.
The tides:                                                     Moon and Sun
low tide |2:45 am LT                                 Moon Rise – 6:39 pm LT
high tide 9:33 am LT                                  Moon Set – 6:58 am LT
