Today, our skies will be mostly sunny, with high level clouds. There is a possibility of scattered showers. 

Winds will be ESE at 10 to 15 mph. Waves will be 2 to 4 feet in height.

Richard is a tropical storm and now over northern Guatemala and southern Mexico.
It is expected to emerge into the Gulf of Mexico later today.

Elsewhere in the tropics, there is a large area of disturbed weather about 700 miles WNW of the Cape Verde islands.
It is given a 10% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. This system is not a threat to us.

The air temperatures will be in the high 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).

At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 81F to 84F or 26C to 28C. Surface temperatures are lower

and vary greatly due to the heavy rainfall which occurred recently.
