4pm Weather Update for Thur., Oct. 07, 2010_A possible new low pressure system

As I mentioned in this morning's post, the frontal boundary or surface trough to the SE of us, had expanded over night.

The NHC now gives this system a 10% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours. Since the system appears to have some spin to it and is centered SE of us, ( See NHC 2pm position) I thought I would alert you, so you could start monitoring its progress .

You can view the latest water vapor imagery at water vapor satellite loop .

Finally, today's Graphical Tropical Weather Outlook can be found here: Graphical Tropical Weather Outlook.

There are no figures with this afternoon's post because there is not enough bandwidth available to up load them.
If there are any other significant changes or developments, I will post them by 9pm LT, this evening. If not, look for my morning post to be available by 7am LT.

Have a wonderful evening!
