Today, for the most part, our skies will continue to be cloudy with a chance of rain.  
Winds will be NE to E, ranging in strength from 10 to 15 mph. Waves will be 
1 to 4 feet in height.The disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms off 
Nicaragua, has been designated 99L. 
It has grown larger. It is still drifting westward towards the Nicaraguan coast. 
It now has a 30% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. 
This system has the potential for further development and bears watching.
 
Elsewhere in the tropics, there is a weak low pressure system about 850 miles SW 
of the Cape Verde Islands. This system has a 10% chance of developing into a 
tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

The air temperatures will be in the high 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).

At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 85F or 27C to 29C. Surface 
temperatures are lower and vary greatly due to the heavy rainfall which occurred recently.
