How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance.This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. Synopsis...Tropical Storm Danny will weaken to a tropical depression later today while moving into the NE Caribbean... passing S of Puerto Rico and Hispaniola through tonight before dissipating by Wed night. A strong tropical wave and accompanying area of low pressure (Invest 98L)...possibly a tropical cyclone...will pass through the tropical N Atlantic waters on Tue night...move across the Lesser Antilles on Wed and continue W across the E Caribbean on Thu and through the central Caribbean on Fri. Another tropical wave near the Cape Verde Islands follows.
2. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with Invest 98, a low pressure system located about 1250 miles east of the southern Lesser Antilles has continued to become better organized since yesterday. Satellite data also indicates that the low's circulation is gradually becoming better defined. If current trends continue, a tropical depression is likely to form later today or tonight while the low moves westward at around 20 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent
All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should track these  systems as they move west towards us.
3. The Saharan Air Layer (SAL) has decreased slightly in both density and area.
