Wednesday August 01, 2012
Skies will be partly sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Winds will range in strength from gentle during the day to fresh this evening. They will be from the ESE to ENE at 10 to 15 mph.

The air temperatures will range from the low 80s (ºF) to the low 90s (ºF) or 26ºC to 32ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 82 to 83ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
Showers and thunderstorms associated with Invest 99L, an area of low pressure, have not become any better organized during the past several hours. Environmental conditions are marginally conducive for gradual development of this low over the next few days. This system now has a medium chance, 50 percent of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves westward at 15 to 20 mph. Early this morning, 99L was located at 9.7N, 44W or about 2900 miles, E by S (103.5º) of Roatan. Winds were 25 mph and the barometric pressure was 1009 mb.
The outlook for 99L next week, is uncertain. A track west to west-northwest through the Caribbean, or to the northwest towards the U.S. East Coast are both possible. At this time, the computer model runs are about equally split between theses two possibilities.
This system does not currently pose a threat to the Bay Islands and North Coast of Honduras, but all interests here, should monitor its progress as it proceeds west.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
