Maximum sustained winds are 50 mph and the barometric pressure is 1007 mb. Ernesto has weakened but is forecast to strengthen to a Cat 1 hurricane on Tuesday. If it maintains its current path and direction, its CENTER, will pass just to the north of us, beginning early Tuesday morning, possibly as a Category 1 hurricane. The NHC has again, adjusted the official 5 day track forecast slightly south from yesterday's.
This system does pose a threat to the Bay Islands and North Coast of Honduras, and all interests, especially those on the north side of the islands, should monitor its progress. A tropical storm watch has been issued for the North Coast of Honduras.
Elsewhere, TS Florence has formed out in the Atlantic. It is at 16.6N, 34.2W. It is not a threat to us.
