Again today, skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be easterly in direction at 5 mph to 10 mph during
the day; increasing to 15 mph to 20 mph this afternoon and evening. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet. Expect winds and seas to continue to moderate.
A quasi-stationary cold front in the Gulf of Mexico reaches from central Florida to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. It will move into the NW Caribbean by Thursday night. Than reach from central Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras by Friday night. It will dissipate from the Windward Passage to the Gulf of Honduras early on Sunday.
A new cold front will move into the western Gulf of Mexico Sunday.
There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the
early morning, late night hours as cool high pressure air drifts in from the north.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
