Again today, skies will be sunny. Winds will be light and mostly northerly at 5 mph to 10 mph or less. Seas will be moderate to calm at 1 to 3 feet or less. A strong cold front extends from Tampa Bay, Florida to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. It will enter the Yucatan channel today and extend from eastern Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras later today and dissipate from the Windward Passage to the Gulf of Honduras on Friday. Fresh north winds are expected over the NW Caribbean behind the front on Thursday night.
A second weaker cold front will move into the Gulf of Mexico late Saturday night...reach from the Florida Panhandle to the Yucatan Peninsula late Sunday...and move slowly SE on Monday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 78°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
 The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
