Skies will be mostly cloudy. Winds will be northerly in direction at 20 mph to 25 mph during the day; becoming easterly and moderating this afternoon and evening. Seas will be moderate to calm at 1 to 4 feet in the lee of the island. Winds and seas will decrease in strength this afternoon and evening.
This morning, a strong cold front extends from the Bay Islands to western Cuba. The
front will move eastward today reaching from central Cuba to the central Gulf of Honduras this evening. Then it will stall and drift W on Wednesday before dissipating. Expect minimal gale force NW winds, cloudiness and intermittent rain, in the wake of the front.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC. With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 78°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
