Again today, skies will be sunny. Winds will be ESE this morning at 10 mph to 15 mph or higher; increasing to 15 mph to 20 mph from the ENE this afternoon and evening. Seas will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet or higher. Winds and seas will begin to moderate on Wednesday.
Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
This morning, the cold front in the Gulf of Mexico reaches from the Louisiana to the central Bay of Campeche, Mexico. It is nearly stationary and is weakening. It will dissipate by tonight. The next, stronger, cold front will move across the western and central Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday; followed by 25 kt. to 30 kt. NW winds. This front will extend across Yucatan channel by Thursday and from central Cuba to Yucatan Peninsula on Friday...where it will stall and dissipate.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 78°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
