Skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be light and variable in direction at 5 mph to 15 mph or less. Seas will be  moderate to calm at 1 to 3 ft. or less.  There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms today. The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.




The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. Gulf of Mexico - A surface trough N of 22N between 94W and 97W will move W and inland Texas on Wed. A surface trough S of 23N along 93W will become orientated from 24N97W to 19N93W on Wed...then meander along this position through Sun.
2. Caribbean Sea - A tropical wave will move W across the Gulf of Honduras tonight and Wed morning. A surface trough in the central Caribbean will continue westward reaching the W Caribbean on Wed through Thu...then stall across the far SW Caribbean on Fri through Sun with the possibility of a surface low pressure developing along the trough. A tropical wave S of 16N between 57W and 59W will continue W across the E Caribbean on Wed night and Thu...pass through the central Caribbean on Fri and merge into broad low pressure over the SW Caribbean over the weekend.
3. ...Special Features...
3a. Hurricane Nicole is centered near 27.7N 66.8W at 12/0600 UTC or about 290 nm SSW of Bermuda moving NW at 5 kt. Estimated minimum central pressure is 970 mb. Maximum sustained wind speed is 80 kt with gusts to 100 kt. Scattered moderate convection is from 25N- 30N between 63W-70W. 4...Tropical Waves...
4a. Tropical wave extends from 05N29W to 17N29W moving W at 15 kt. A 1012 mb low is centered along the wave axis near 08N and remains embedded within the Monsoon Trough axis. Scattered moderate convection is from 06N-14N between 26W-32W.
4b. Tropical wave extends from 06N59W to 16N58W moving W at 15 kt. The wave coincides with subtle 700 mb troughing between 55W-61W. No significant deep convection is occurring with the wave at this time.
4c. Tropical wave extends from 08N85W to 16N85W moving W at 15 kt. A maximum in 850 mb relative vorticity is in the vicinity of the wave axis between 80W-87W. Scattered moderate convection is from 05N-12N between 82W-87W.
