How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
A tropical wave along 88W early this morning will gradually exit the Gulf of Honduras today. A second tropical wave across the Atlantic will move W across the tropical N Atlantic waters this afternoon and tonight...then W-NW across the NE Caribbean Thursday and through the N central Caribbean Thursday night and Friday. A third tropical wave will approach 55W by late Saturday into Sunday.
This Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is currently along 35W/36W to the south of 19N...moving westward 20 kts. A 1012 mb low pressure center is along the wave near 11N. Environmental conditions appear to be conducive for some development of this disturbance to the east of the Lesser Antilles by early next week. This system has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours...and a medium chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days. The feature is forecast to move westward across the tropical Atlantic Ocean 9 to 13 kts. Interests in the Bay Islands and north coast of Honduras should monitor this system for further development.
The southern portion of the SAL, along 20N, has again decreased in density and area. See Figs. 9 and 9a at http://roatanweather.blogspot.com/
