Again, today, skies will be mostly sunny. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Winds will be moderate and E in direction, this morning, at 8 to 12 mph; increasing this afternoon and evening to 15 to 20 mph. In the afternoon, winds will be ENE in direction. Winds and seas will continue to be moderate in strength through Friday.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 80s (ºF) to the low 90s (ºF) or 25ºC to 32ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 82°F to 84ºF or 27ºC to 28ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.

Coral spawning
Coral spawning and other mass reproductive activity may occur for ten (10) nights beginning Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013. Historically, in the Bay Islands, this activity peaks 3 to 6 days after the August full moon. Usually between the hours of 10pm to 2am. According to the US Naval Observatory, the August full moon this year for our location occurred at 7:45pm Tuesday 130820.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
A strong tropical wave along 73W will move across the rest of the central Caribbean through tonight....then across the Western Caribbean Thursday through late Friday. There is a chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms with the passage of this wave..
There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time and tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The SAL has increased slightly in size and decreased in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a.
