Weather-wise, today is a carbon copy of yesterday. Skies will be mostly sunny with some mid to high level cloudiness possible. Winds will be SE to E at 15 mph to 25 mph.

The winds continue to be strong due to an area of low pressure located in Central Mexico. The seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height and higher. Expect these wind and sea conditions for the next 5 to 6 days.

A weak cold front is stationary, just inland on the Gulf coast and will dissipate today. The next weak cold front is forecast to enter the Gulf of Mexico on Friday. It is currently forecast to dissipate in the middle Gulf of Mexico, on Saturday.


The air temperatures will be in the high 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 79F to 80F or 26C .
