Today, skies will be partly sunny with extensive mid to high level cloudiness. Winds will be from the NE to E at 10 mph to 15 mph. The seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height.

There will be scattered, intermittent showers throughout the morning and early afternoon hours.

Some remnants of the cold front which caused this week's rains still remain. That cooler air mixing with the warmer tropical air is responsible for today's showers.

 In Fig 3, the warmer tropical air is black and the cooler north air is brownish color.
 
The next cold front will enter the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday. The blue line in the upper left of Figs. 2 & 3, is the next approaching cold front.

The air temperatures will be in the high 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 79F to 80F or 26C .
