Skies will be sunny. Winds will be easterly in direction at 15 mph or 30 mph. Sea will be moderate to rough at 2 ft. to 4 ft. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives. The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 76°F to 78°F or 24ºC to 25ºC







The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters through Thu supporting mainly moderate to fresh E to SE winds. A cold front accompanied by tstms will move across the N Gulf waters tonight into Thu...dissipating over the NE waters by Fri. A stronger cold front is forecast to sweep across the entire Gulf during the upcoming weekend bringing a significant increase in winds and seas.
3. Caribbean Sea - High pressure N of area will continue to support fresh to strong winds across much of the basin...including the Atlantic passages...through tonight. High pressure N of area will then weaken Allowing for trades to decrease beginning on Thu. Winds will increase across the NW Caribbean during the upcoming weekend ahead of a strong cold front forecast to move across the Gulf of Mexico. This front is forecast to reach the Yucatan Channel and the NW Caribbean Sun night with strong winds and building seas.
3a. Overall tranquil conditions persist across the Caribbean basin this morning as water vapor imagery indicates upper level dry air and strong subsidence to the E of a middle to upper level trough over the NE Caribbean with axis extending from 23N60W to a base near 15N67W. Latest scatterometer data depicts generally moderate to fresh trades across the basin with slightly stronger winds occurring within close proximity to the coast of Colombia S of 14N between 73W-77W. Satellite imagery shows isolated trade wind showers across Hispaniola...Puerto Rico...and the US/UK Virgin Islands...while the remainder of the basin remains generally precipitation-free. Similar weather conditions are forecast through Friday as surface ridging remains anchored to the N across the SW North Atlantic region.
