2. Gulf of Mexico - Strong E winds across the SE waters will diminish to a fresh breeze this afternoon then strengthen to a fresh to strong breeze again early Fri. Fresh to locally strong southerly winds across the NW waters today will diminish to a moderate to fresh breeze tonight...with little change forecast the remainder of the period. Strong NE to E nocturnal winds expected along the NW coast of the Yucatan Peninsula each evening.
3. Caribbean Sea - A stationary front extending SW from the Mona Passage to SE Nicaragua will weaken through tonight...then drift N during the next few days. A weak cold front will continue E across the NE Caribbean through Thu. Minimal gale force winds downstream of the Windward Passage will diminish below gale force late this morning. Minimal gale force winds will develop along the NW coast of Colombia tonight and Wed night. Otherwise strong to near gale force NE flow will persist over the central Caribbean.
