Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be mostly easterly in direction at 20 mph to 25 mph or higher.  Seas will be moderate to rough at 2 ft. to 4 ft. or higher.  Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives. The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 76°F to 78°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.





The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - Strong NE winds across the SE Gulf waters will gradually clock to the E through Tue and diminish from the W to a fresh E breeze across the far SE Gulf on Tue night through Thu. Fresh to locally strong SE flow expected across the W central waters on Tue...then fresh nocturnal breezes forecast to begin across the NW waters on Wed. A strong E breeze will develop on Thu night and Fri across the SE waters. Strong E winds will develop along the NW coast of the Yucatan Peninsula on Thu and Fri evenings.
3. Caribbean Sea - A cold front extending from the Windward Passage to E Honduras will reach from the Dominican Republic to NE Nicaragua tonight...then stall and weaken from the Mona Passage to central Nicaragua through Thu. Strong to near gale force northerly winds and building seas are spreading eastward across the western and central Caribbean in the wake of the front...with a narrow swath of gale winds developing downstream of the Windward Passage this afternoon and continuing through late tonight. Fresh to strong NE to E winds will persist over much of the central and W Caribbean through Fri.
3a. A cold front is over the NW Caribbean from Hispaniola at 20N72W to NE Nicaragua at 15N83W. Scattered showers are Hispaniola, and over Honduras and N Nicaragua. 20-30 kt N winds are N of the front. Broken cold air stratocumulus clouds are over the NW Caribbean NW of the front. Moderate to fresh trades over the remainder of the Caribbean, with strongest winds over the south central Caribbean near the coast of Colombia. Scattered moderate convection is inland over N Colombia and NW Venezuela. Scattered showers are also off the coast of Costa Rica from 09N-11N between 81W-84W. Radar imagery shows showers W of Puerto Rico. In the upper levels, a ridge is over the E Caribbean with axis along 65W. Upper level moisture is over the front and over SW Caribbean, while strong subsidence is over the far NE Caribbean. Expect the front in 24 hours to drift E and extend from E Hispaniola to S Nicaragua with convection over the SW Caribbean.
