Today, skies will be partly cloudy. Winds will be light and NW to NE in direction at 10 mph or less. There is a slight chance of scattered showers
This morning, satellite imagery shows that there is a broad stationary front to the SE of us. It reaches from the Windward Passage to Nicaragua. It will begin to drift W tonight and gradually dissipate through Saturday night. Strong northerly winds are expected across the NW Caribbean on Saturday and Sunday.
The next cold front will move into the Gulf of Mexico today. Another weak cold front will enter the Gulf of Mexico on Monday.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 80°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
