Today, skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of heavy, intermittent rain. Winds will be strong and NW in direction at 15 mph to 20 mph Seas will be 1 to 3 feet on the south or lee side of the Bay Islands and considerably higher on the north side.
This morning, satellite imagery shows that a pair of strong cold fronts straddles the Bay Islands and Cuba. (See Fig. 6.1 below ) They will continue to slowly move south today...and reach from the Windward Passage to the border of Honduras and into Nicaragua later today with second, reinforcing front merging with the first one. There, they will become stationary and begin to dissipate on Friday and Saturday. There are gale force winds behind the second front.
The next cold front will move into the Gulf of Mexico on Friday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 80°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 5 to 80 ft.

The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
