Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.

Again today, skies will be partly sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 3 feet. Winds will be mostly westerly in direction at 15 mph or less.
This morning a cold front reaches from the Florida Panhandle to Veracruz, Mexico. Tomorrow, it will stretch from Fort Myers, Florida to the  Bay of Campeche, where it will begin to dissipate. By Monday, it will be on a line from the Straits of Florida to the Yucatan.  Fresh to strong north winds are behind this front.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 30ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 83 to 84ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.












The Tropical Weather Outlook
Sandy is moving NNE, at 10 mph parallel to the SE coast  of the USA. Maximum sustained winds are 75 mph. The barometric pressure is 960 mb.  It is expected to continue this motion through the weekend.
There are two tropical waves in the Atlantic moving west towards the Caribbean. One is along 52º W; the second is at 47ºW longitude. There is some convective precipitation associated with this wave.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
