Again today, skies will be partly sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 3 feet. Winds will be mostly northwesterly in direction at 10 mph or less.
There is a slight chance of intermittent, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
A cold front will enter NW Gulf of Mexico later this morning, moving across the gulf on Sunday night. This weak front will move into Yucatan Channel late Monday and stall.
Over the weekend, expect the NW winds and cloudiness and rain to increase with the approach of this front.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 30ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 83 to 84ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.











The Tropical Weather Outlook
Sandy is moving NW, at 13 mph across the Abacos in the Bahamas. Maximum sustained winds are 80 mph. The barometric pressure is 968 mb.
There are two tropical waves in the Atlantic moving west towards the Caribbean. One is along 46º W; the second is at 40ºW longitude.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
