Today,
skies will be sunny. Winds will be mostly ESE in direction at 5 mph
to 15 mph this morning. Increasing to 20 mph to 25 mph this afternoon
and evening. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Divers should
exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the
afternoon dives. This morning, the cold front in the Gulf of
Mexico extends from Tampa Bay, Florida the Bay of Campeche, Mexico.
It is forecast to continue drifting slowly SE and gradually weaken by
Sunday.The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
