Skies will continue to be  cloudy with a chance of scattered rain showers through Monday as a cold front remains stationary over us. Winds will be moderate to strong and northerly in direction at 15 mph to 25 mph or higher. Seas will be  calm to rough at 1 ft. to 4 ft or higher. The air temperatures will range from the low 70sºF to the mid 80s ºF or 22°C to 24ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.






The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - High pressure centered between Florida and Bermuda will shift SW over the N central Gulf on Sat...allowing a cold front to pass SE across the NE Gulf waters. The high will shift back E along 28N on Mon to the far eastern Gulf by Tue night. A thermal trough will form each day over the Yucatan Peninsula through Sun. The troughs will move W into the Bay of Campeche, Mexico S of 22N during the overnight hours and dissipate during the morning.
3. Caribbean Sea - A stationary front from the Windward Passage to eastern Honduras will dissipate on Sat. Minimal gale force winds are expected along the NW coast of Colombia tonight. Large NE to E swell over much of the northern and central tropical N Atlantic waters will slowly subside through Sun.
3a. A quasi-stationary front extends from Haiti near 20N72W to E Honduras near 16N84W. Scattered showers are within 90 NM of the front. 15-25 kt NE surface winds are N of the front. 15-30 kt trade winds are over the remainder of the Caribbean Sea with near gale winds along the coast of N Colombia. Scattered showers are over the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Jamaica, E Cuba, N Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala. More showers are over W Panama, and Costa Rica. In the upper levels, an upper level high is centered over the E Caribbean near 15N65W. Strong subsidence is over the entire Caribbean. Expect little change over the next 24 hours.
