Skies will continue to be  cloudy with a chance of scattered rain showers through Friday as two merged cold fronts pass over us. Winds will be moderate to strong and northerly in direction at 15 mph to 25 mph or higher. Seas will be  calm to rough at 1 ft. to 4 ft or higher. The air temperatures will range from the low 70sºF to the mid 80s ºF or 22°C to 24ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.






The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - Strong high pressure will build SE and settle over the N Gulf Thu through Sun night. A thermal trough will produce strong winds over the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours Wed night through Sun night. A cold front may clip the NE Gulf on Sun.
3. Caribbean Sea - A stationary front extends from eastern Cuba to NE Honduras. The front will weaken and eventually dissipate by Fri. Strong NE winds will occur N of the front tonight through Sat night as high pressure builds E from the SE United States. Fresh to strong winds along the coast of Colombia will reach near gale to gale force on Fri night. Large NE to E swell in tropical N Atlantic waters will subside by Sun afternoon.
3a. A stationary front extends from E Cuba near 20N76W to E Honduras near 15N83W. Isolated showers are observed along and west of the front. To the east, a surface trough is over the E Caribbean extending from 17N65W to 10N65W. Isolated showers prevail in the vicinity of the trough between 62W-68W. Scatterometer data depicts moderate to fresh north-easterly winds north of the front while moderate easterly winds prevail south of the front and over the remainder of the basin. Expect the front to remain stationary for the next 24 hours with showers. The surface trough will continue moving west with showers.
