Today, skies will be partly sunny. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Winds will be mostly easterly in direction, this morning, at 10 mph to 12 mph; increasing this afternoon to 15 mph to 20 mph.
The air temperatures will range from the low 80s (ºF) to the low 90s (ºF) or 25ºC to 32ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 81°F to 82ºF or 26ºC to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
There is a slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.











The Tropical Weather Outlook
Early this morning, tropical storm Chantal was about 1,800 miles E by S from Roatan. Its traveling W at 26 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph. It is forecast to intensify, as it travels W-NW towards the Caribbean. Currently, it does not pose a threat to the Bay Islands and north coast of Honduras. However, interests here should continues to monitor Chantal as it tracks westward.
A tropical wave is moving across the western Caribbean today and will exit west of area on Wednesday.
The Saharan Air Layer (SAL) has increased slightly in area during the last 24 hours.
Else where, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
