How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column are two very useful widgets. The first is a tropical weather tracker which shows you the location and forecast track of active tropical storm systems.
The second is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

Thursday Apr. 18, 2013
Again today, skies will be mostly sunny. At times, during the day, there maybe a smoky haze in the atmosphere caused by the combination of smoke, from the slash and burn agricultural practices used in Central America, and airborne salt particles. Seas will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet or higher. Winds will be ESE in direction at 15 mph to 25 mph during the day; increasing to 25 mph to 35 mph from the E this afternoon and evening. Fresh to strong, easterly trade winds in the Gulf of Honduras, will continue to set up each afternoon and night. Expect this weather pattern to continue through the weekend.
Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
The next cold front will approach the coast of Texas by late tonight...entering the Gulf of Mexico waters by early Friday morning. Fresh to strong northerly winds are expected behind the front. This front will weaken and stall from SW Florida to the S central Gulf of Mexico before dissipating Sunday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the high 80s (ºF) or 25ºC to 31ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 79to 81ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
