How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column are two very useful widgets. The first is a tropical weather tracker which shows you the location and forecast track of active tropical storm systems.
The second is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

Friday Jan. 18, 2013
Today, skies will be mostly cloudy. Seas in the lee of Roatan will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet or less. Winds will be northerly in direction at 20 to 25mph or higher.
This morning, a strong cold front extends from central Cuba to the Bay Islands of Honduras. It will continue to move slowly SE today. It will stall from eastern Cuba to eastern Honduras later today or early tomorrow...then gradually dissipate by Monday.
Expect increasing cloudiness, intermittent rain, cooler temperatures and stronger north winds with the passage of this cold front. The strong north winds will have a chilling effect, especially on divers exiting the water. With the wind chill, it will feel like it is in the mid 60s °F.
The next cold front will move into the Gulf of Mexico on Monday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 60s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 20ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 79 to 80ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet or greater.
