Overnight a frontal trough has formed and moved over us. Because of this trough, skies will be cloudy with slight chance of rain. Winds will be light and mostly N to NE in direction. During the day, winds will be less than 5 mph in strength. Tonight, they will increase to 10 to 15 mph. The seas will be calm and 1 to 3 feet in height.
Early this morning, a weak, nearly stationary cold front reaches from Marco Island, Florida to the SE Gulf of Mexico. It will diffuse today. Cooler high pressure air is building in behind it. The next cold front is predicted to move off the Texas coast late Monday or early Tuesday
Expect strong winds and high seas this weekend and the beginning of next week.
