Today, skies will be sunny with some haze possible, due to areas of smoke over the Gulf of Honduras and Central America. Winds will be ESE in direction at 12 mph to 15 mph or less during the day; increasing to 20 mph to 25 mph or higher from the ENE this afternoon and evening. Seas will be choppy 2 to 4 feet or higher. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
This morning, there is a weak frontal system from the Straits of Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula. It will drift N tonight and then move E on Friday as a cold front.
Expect strong easterly tradewinds and high seas Thursday through Saturday.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
