How to use this page:

The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column are two very useful widgets. The first is a tropical weather tracker which shows you the location and forecast track of active tropical storm systems.
The second is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012
Again today, skies will be partly cloudy. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Winds will be moderate, and ESE to ENE in direction at 5 to 15 mph.
This morning, the cold front in the Gulf of Mexico, reaches from the Florida Panhandle to 22N96W. It will continue moving SE...and extend from the Florida Big Bend to the W Bay of Campeche later today. The east portion of the front will then move to just N of Tampa Bay on Wednesday while the western portion remains stalled across W Bay of Campeche before dissipating across the W Gulf of Mexico on Thursday. The east portion of the front then moves SE into the Straits of Florida and becomes diffuse late Thursday into Friday.
Strong gales are occurring west, along and behind the front.
Moderate winds and seas will prevail through tomorrow. Winds and seas will decrease beginning Thursday as remnants of the front drift SE towards us. Cloudiness and the chance of rain will increase as this occurs.
There is still a very slight chance of late night, early morning, intermittent rain showers.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 22ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80to 82ºF or 24 to 25ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
