The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. A cold front along the N Gulf of Mexico coasts will sink S into the extreme NE Gulf of Mexico tonight through Wed...then dissipate over the NW and N central Gulf of Mexico as the remainder of the front moves SE through N central Florida Wed night through Thu and stalls. Winds and seas will increase over the northern Gulf of Mexico Fri through Sun N of the stalled front as a ridge builds into the area. A trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon and weaken as it moves W overnight each night.
2. Winds and seas will remain below normal conditions through Fri as broad low pressure dominates the SW N Atlantic E of the Bahamas. Fresh trades will return along the coast of Colombia late Thu through Sun and increase to strong breeze each night. A fresh E to SE breeze will develop across the Gulf of Honduras Thu and Fri that will become fresh to locally strong late Sat.
