Again today, skies will be mostly sunny. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet. Winds will be light and variable in direction at 10 mph or less this morning. Increasing to 20 mph to 35 mph this afternoon and evening. Expect strong northerly winds Friday night through Sunday.
This morning, a weak, relatively stationary cold front extends From Belize and the eastern Yucatan Peninsula to the NW Cuba. It will be reinforced by a second, stronger cold front later today. It is will enter the NW Caribbean this afternoon and evening. The merged fronts will reach from eastern Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras on Saturday. There are strong to near gale force winds, N to NW of the front. Expect increasing cloudiness, rain, high seas and gale force winds with the passage of these fronts. Seas on the northside and beyond the lee of the Bay Islands maybe 8 to 12 feet or higher.
The next cold front is expected to move off the Texas coast Monday night into Tuesday...and reach from the western Florida Panhandle to the SW Gulf of Mexico by late Tuesday.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 21ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 78 to 79ºF or 25 to 26ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
