Skies will be mostly sunny today. There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours. Winds will be moderate to strong and easterly in direction at 15 mph to 25 mph. Seas will be  moderate to rough at 2 ft. to 4 ft. or higher. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives. The air temperatures will range from the mid 70sºF to the mid 80s ºF or 22°C to 24ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.






The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - A cold front extending W from SW Florida to Veracruz, Mexico will move SE of the Gulf waters early Fri. Strong to near gale force northerly flow will follow the front...with minimal gale conditions along the coast of Mexico S of 21N W of 95W tonight. Fresh to strong SE return flow will set up over the NW Gulf on Fri night...with these conditions spreading E across the entire Gulf on Mon with near gale force winds across the Straits of Florida. The next cold front will enter the NW Gulf on Tue.
3. Caribbean Sea - Minimal gale force NE winds are expected during the overnight and early morning hours within 90 NM of the coast of Colombia through Tue night. Otherwise Atlantic high pressure will maintain fresh to strong trades E of 81W through Sun night. Strong to near gale force northerly flow expected across the NW waters behind a cold front this weekend.
3a. NE-to-E middle level-to-upper level wind flow is moving through the Caribbean Sea. Some of the 350 mb to 500 mb flow becomes anticyclonic just to the west and northwest of Jamaica. The wind flow from 600 mb to 800 mb is: from the NE from 15N northward from 70W westward, from the SE-to-E near the Netherlands Antilles, and from the NE from Jamaica westward. Rain showers are possible across the Caribbean Sea, in areas of broken low level clouds, mostly to the east of 77W, and from Jamaica southwestward to interior sections of Nicaragua and Honduras. The 24-hour rainfall amounts, for the period ending at 03/0000 UTC...according to the PAN AMERICAN TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION TABLES...MIATPTPAN/SXCA01 KNHC...are: 0.03 in Guadeloupe.
