Skies will be partly cloudy today. There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours. Winds will be moderate to strong and easterly in direction at 5 mph to 25 mph. Seas will be moderate to rough at 1 ft. to 4 ft. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives. The air temperatures will range from the mid 70sºF to the mid 80s ºF or 22°C to 24ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
2. Gulf of Mexico - A cold front will move through the NE Gulf Fri night. A second...stronger...front may enter the NW Gulf Sun. A trough will develop each afternoon over the Yucatan Peninsula and move W across the SW Gulf late each night into early morning accompanied by a fresh to strong NE to E wind shift through Fri evening.
3. Caribbean Sea - High pressure N of the area will maintain fresh to strong trade winds across the region into late week...diminishing thereafter. Gales will pulse off the coast of Colombia during the overnight hours through early Fri morning.
3a. Aside from the near gale to gale force conditions expected through the early morning hours on Friday off the coast of Colombia...two features continue to impact the basin. A surface trough is analyzed from western Nicaragua near 13N87W to 19N84W providing focus for isolated to widely scattered low-topped showers remaining generally S of 19N between 81W-88W...including interior portions of northern Nicaragua and much of Honduras. Farther east...a shear line extends from the central Atlc to the Lesser Antilles near Dominica then E to 15N71W. Fresh to strong E winds are occurring N of the shear line in addition to isolated showers. Elsewhere moderate to fresh trades prevail and are expected to persist through Saturday.
2. Gulf of Mexico - A cold front will move through the NE Gulf Fri night. A second...stronger...front may enter the NW Gulf Sun.
