Today, skies will be
mostly sunny. Winds will be easterly in direction at 8 mph to 12 mph
or higher this morning; increasing to 15 mph to 25 mph this afternoon
and evening. Seas
will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet. The air temperatures will
range from the mid to high 70s (ºF) to the mid to high 80s (ºF) or
24ºC to 26ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 82°F to 84°F or 24ºC
to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.

For
the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Gonzalo, located just northeast of the British Virgin
Islands. 2. A broad area of low pressure located about 1200 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to produce a large area of
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Strong upper-level winds affecting this system are forecast to strengthen
further during the next few days, and development of this low into a tropical cyclone is unlikely as it moves slowly
toward the northwest. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. 3. Hurricane Gonzalo near 19.6N 64.4W 974 mb at 5 AM AST moving NW at 11 kt. maximum sustained winds 95 kt
gusts 115 kt. Gonzalo will move to 21.0N 65.6W this afternoon. Otherwise...moderate to locally fresh trades will
diminish to gentle to moderate by Wed and persist through Fri night. A weak cold front will stall from near NW Cuba
to across the Yucatan Channel Wed in the evening and Thu before dissipating through Fri. 4. A cold front extending from 30N89W to 26N93W to 22N98W will gradually weaken as it reaches from near
Apalachee Bay to the SW Gulf of Mexico near 18N93W this evening...moving SE-S of the basin Wed night. Winds will
increase to gale force along the coast of Veracruz this afternoon. High pressure builds in behind the front Thu through
Fri night with rapidly diminishing winds and seas.
