Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be ESE in direction at 10 mph to 15 mph during the day; becoming ENE this afternoon and evening at 20 mph to 25 mph. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet.
A new cold front will move off the Texas coast by late Thursday. The front will shift SE but stall from the Florida Panhandle to the SW Gulf of Mexico by late Friday through Saturday. Low pressure over the SW Gulf of Mexico, ahead of the cold front, will allow a fresh to strong SE wind flow across the Gulf of Honduras by late Wednesday. Expect strong to near gale force tradewinds and high seas Thursday through Sunday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
