Skies will be mostly sunny and clear
today. Winds will be light and variable in direction at 10 mph or
less. Seas
will be moderate to calm at 1 to 3 feet. Expect moderate winds and
seas to continue through Wednesday.
This morning, in the Gulf of Mexico,
there is a strong cold front from Alabama to Tampico, Mexico. It will reach from the Florida Panhandle
to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico this afternoon; then stall over the SE
Gulf late tonight. Strong gales will continue behind the front, with
a brief period of storm force conditions expected in Bay of Campeche
tonight.
Expect strong easterly tradewinds and
high seas to resume on Thursday afternoon. They will continue through
Saturday.
The air temperatures will range from
the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to
82°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
