this afternoon and evening at 10 mph to 20 mph. Seas
will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet
or higher; especially on the northside or out of the lee of the
islands.
A strong cold front lies from central
Cuba to central Honduras with strong to gale force northerly winds in
and near the Gulf of Honduras this morning. The front is expected to
stall from E Cuba to near Honduras-Nicaragua border by early
Thursday...then weaken and become diffuse Friday and Saturday. Expect
cloudiness and rain with the passage of this front.
The air temperatures will range from
the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
With wind chill, it will feel like
the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to
82°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
