Skies will be partly sunny. Winds will
be WSW in direction at 5 mph to 15 mph during the day; becoming WNW
this afternoon and evening at 10 mph to 30 mph. Seas
will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet
or higher.
A strong cold front will enter the far
NW Caribbean Sea and Yucatan Channel today, followed by fresh to
strong northerly flow. The front is forecast to stall from the
Windward Passage to the Honduras/Nicaragua border by early
Thursday...then weaken and become diffuse by Friday. Expect
increasing cloudiness and rain with the passage of this front.
The air temperatures will range from
the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to
82°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
