Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will
be ESE in direction at 12 mph to 15 mph or higher during the day;
becoming E to ENE this afternoon and evening at 15 mph to 25 mph or
higher. Seas
will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet or higher. Expect moderate
winds and seas Tuesday and Wednesday.
Divers should exercise caution
exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
An unseasonably strong cold front will
move into the NW Gulf of Mexico later today. Strong, gale force,
north winds will be behind this front. It will reach from the Florida
Keys to the Yucatan Peninsula by Wednesday.
Expect strong easterly tradewinds and
high seas are forecast to resume on Thursday and continue through
Saturday.
The air temperatures will range from
the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to
82°F or 24ºC to 25ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
