Today will be sunny skies with increasing cloudiness. There is a chance of scattered shows and thunderstorms. The seas are choppy with wave heights of 2 to 4 feet or higher. Winds will be mostly ESE at10 to 15 knots. Wind and seas may strengthen later today.
Tropical wave 95L continues to move west across the Caribbean. At 0800 am today,
it was about 700 miles south of east of us. It is moving WNW at 15mph.
It could become a tropical depression later today. The NHC is now giving this system a
80% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
Conditions favor further development.
It remains a very serious threat to the Bay Islands and the north coast of
Honduras for this weekend.
It most likely will disrupt air travel over the weekend.
All interests in the Bay Islands and the north coast of Honduras
should continue to closely monitor the development of this
system as it moves towards us.
The air temperatures will be in the mid to high 80s (F) or 27 - 29 (C).
