The NHC upgraded 96L to a tropical depression at 9am LT today.
It does not really pose a threat to us, as it is tracking NNE away from us at 10mph.
It was centered about 400 miles NNE of Roatan.
It is expected to continue in this direction, passing over Cuba and parts of Florida,
before continuing up the East Coast of the USA. Presently, maximum sustained winds are 35mph.
Minimum central pressure is 1000mb. It is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm
later today.
Interests on the north side of the Bay Islands could experience an increase in winds
and seas.
