Skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be light and mostly westerly in direction at 15 mph or less.  Seas will be moderate to calm at 1ft. to 3ft.  There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms today.The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.



 


The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.
1. Gulf of Mexico - A surface trough is expected to develop over the NW Gulf tonight and move slowly eastward through Wed...becoming a closed low in the NE Gulf Wed night. A cold front moving into the NW Gulf Wed will extend from the Florida Panhandle to the SW Gulf Thu. Strong NW winds are likely W of the front along the coast of Veracruz, Mexico Thu.
2. Caribbean Sea - Mainly gentle to moderate trade winds are expected through Mon. High pressure building N of the area will support fresh to strong NE winds in the N central Caribbean Mon through Thu night. An upper trough will enhamce shower activity over the central and E Caribbean the next few days.
3. ...The Caribbean Sea...
An upper level trough is along 66W/67W. This trough has been in this area more or less during the last few days, as it was being associated earlier with an Atlantic Ocean-to-Caribbean Sea trough. Convective precipitation: scattered strong from 14N to 16N between 71W and 72W in the Caribbean Sea, and from 20N to 22N between 64W and 67W in the Atlantic Ocean. isolated moderate to locally strong from 23N between 60W and 75W in the Caribbean Sea and in the Atlantic Ocean.
Upper level NW wind flow is moving across the NW corner of the Caribbean Sea toward the Greater Antilles. Upper level SW wind flow is moving from Central America, from Guatemala southward, and from Colombia and Venezuela, into the central sections of the Caribbean Sea. The wind flow eventually becomes more westerly, and it merges with an area of upper level cyclonic wind flow that is associated with the current Caribbean Sea trough.
The 24-HOUR rainfall total in inches for the period ending at 06/0000 UTC...according to the PAN AMERICAN TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION TABLES...MIATPTPAN/SXCA01 KNHC...is 0.30 in Guadeloupe.
