The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. Gulf of Mexico - Weak high pressure will prevail over the NE Gulf through today. A weak cold front will reach the NW Gulf Mon night...then stall and dissipate in the northern Gulf through Tue night. Another cold front will approach the NW Gulf on Thursday.
2. Caribbean Sea - High pressure over the W Atlantic will support moderate to fresh trades in the S central Caribbean and gentle to moderate trades elsewhere through Tue. A weak tropical wave along 63W will cross the E Caribbean through Tue. A strong tropical wave and low pressure near 44W will cross 55W Tue and move across the Windward Islands into the E Caribbean Wed night. A tropical cyclone may develop from this system in the W-central Atlantic before reaching the Lesser Antilles. All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should monitor this system closely as it tracks westward toward us. Currently this system does not pose a threat to the Bay Islands and north coast of Honduras. But all interests here should monitor this system as it moves west towards us.
3. ...Special Features...
3a. An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 42W/43W from 17N southward, moving westward 15 to 20 knots. A 1010 mb low pressure center is near 09N along the tropical wave. Convective precipitation: scattered strong from 09N to 13N between 42W and 50W. The chance of development into a tropical cyclone for this feature is medium.

4b. An eastern Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 61W/63W from 22N southward, moving westward 10 to 15 knots. This wave is moving through the area of an upper level trough and its related cyclonic wind flow. Convective precipitation: isolated moderate from 12N to 20N between 54W and 65W. Isolated moderate from 12N southward between 60W and 70W.
