Today, skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be ESE during the day at 15 to 20 mph or higher. Seas will be rough at 2 to 4 feet or higher. This afternoon and evening winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph from the E.
Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
Tonight and tomorrow, there is a slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours.
A strong cold front has push into the Gulf of Mexico. It currently is not expected to reach here. However, another strong cold front will enter the NW Gulf of Mexico Monday and is forecast to reach near Veracruz, Mexico by Tuesday of next week. Both these fronts will have strong north winds behind them.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.

The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has increased in area and decreased in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
