Skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be ESE in direction during the day at 5 to 10 mph or less. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet. This afternoon and evening winds will be ENE at 15 to 20 mph.
Tonight and tomorrow, there is a chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours.
A strong cold front will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico today and extend from the Florida Keys to E Bay of Campeche Sunday night. Gale force winds and building seas are expected in the wake of the front. This cold front will reach the far NW Caribbean on Monday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed very little in area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
