Today, skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be E to ENE during the day at 5 to 10 mph. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet. This afternoon and evening, winds will be from the NNE to NNW.
Tonight and tomorrow, there is a slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours.
A stationary cold front in the NW Gulf of Mexico will begin drifting SE today. It will continue to move SE Wednesday through Friday. The next cold front is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.

The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has increased in area and density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
