Skies
will be partly sunny. Winds will be variable in direction at 10 mph
or higher. Seas will be choppy to rough at 2 ft to 4 ft or higher.
Divers should
exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the
afternoon dives.
There is a chance of scattered
rain showers and isolated thunderstorms today.
The air temperatures will range
from the low to high 80sºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water
temperatures are 84°F to 87°F or 29ºC to 31ºC.
The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North
Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A cold front extending from
near Cedar Key, Florida to 23N94W to 18.5N96W will reach from
Naples, Florida to 20.5N94W to 18N94W by late today...then stall
from far SW Florida to 20.5N94W to 18N94W Fri then become diffuse
through early next week. Another cold front will move off the Texas
coast Sun and reach from central Florida to the SW Gulf of Mexico by
late Mon.
2. High pres N of the area will
continue to support strong trade winds across mainly the central
Caribbean into early next week. Strong NE winds will accompany a
cold front approaching the Yucatan Channel tonight and Fri.
3. There are no tropical
cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season
runs from June 1st through November 30th.
4. The SAL has increased slightly in area and density.
